You have to get the dlc for oblivion before you can get horse armour.
I agree that your idea is really cool, I'd love to see a totally different horse armor mesh. These are some pretty cool images that I haven't seen released yet. I especially love the idea of the horses legs being armored.:/ YES! This is what im talking about! Why have I not found these before? But those are sweet. I would like all kinds of different horse armor to have for all different stuff!
Oblivion Horse Mods
Type in horse armor in the file search at the main site.I found 36 horse armors mods I typed in horse armor and still didnt find one horse armor with new mesh. All I found was retextured of the official horse armor. Not any new meshes like what this whole topic is about. This whole topic is about new meshes for horse armor, or add ons for the horse armor that require new meshes. If you look, I have uploaded my own horse armor retextures to the site.
